FAQs

  • Booking a class is as easy as I, 2, 3.

    Step 1

Go to ‘Classes’ on this website’s navigation page, choose your relevant class, complete the ‘Enquire about booking your class today’ form.

    Step 2

Once you have booked your class, you will receive another email requesting you to complete a Pre-Pilates Questionnaire form.

    Step 3

Once you have completed the questionnaire, you will receive a link to the class with some helpful tips to get you started.

  • 2 Group classes a week for $25 a class.

  • In your first Pilates class you will learn simple Pilates lingo and do some basic Pilates exercises.

The class will start with a warmup and end with some stretches. During the class each exercise will be demonstrated and explained before you do them.

  • Form-fitting clothes are best for mat Pilates, wear something like leggings and a fitted t-shirt and non-slip socks.

Wearing form-fitting clothes helps instructors see your body and how it reacts to Pilates cues and exercises.

  • It’s never too late to start doing Pilates. Pilates is for everyone, at every level and every age.

Our Basic Mat classes is a perfect place to start. Whether you choose to join our group classes or work one-on-one with me, you will become stronger, longer and more balanced. And as you become more confident in your Pilates practice, you will progress onto the Beginner exercises and classes.

  • As I have become older, I cannot go without Pilates. My thoracic (middle of my upper back) becomes so tight and the pain it causes is unbearable.

I have had a client who could only manage attending Pilates once a week. After some time, she admitted that her body could benefit from doing Pilates twice a week, and she’s never looked back since.

Do what you can manage and are happy doing with consistency and passion. There is so much to do in Pilates, that no two classes are the same.

  • Participating in Pilates on a regular basis with good form will lead to quicker results. That being said, in a world that is too focused on body image, how good you feel is far more important than what you look like.

I have seen a woman’s body image improve dramatically, just because she has felt her deep abs for the first time in her life. That is what I call results!

  • Pilates can be part of your weight loss program.

I believe doing Pilates will help you focus on weight loss holistically, like eating a healthy balanced diet, including mindful eating too.

  • That would depend on how you define fitness.

I have to agree with the Oxford dictionary which defines ‘fitness as the state of being physically healthy and strong.’

We often think of fitness as being able to walk, cycle or run without effort.

Pilates that is done with correct form will elevate your heart rate and participating in Pilates will improve your core strength, posture muscle endurance, flexibility, lung capacity, and so much more, but as far as improving your fitness, I personally think that only cardiovascular exercises like brisk walking, cycling, running , swimming or H.I.I.T or Tabatha classes will do that.

Combining Pilates with cardiovascular exercises will give you the best of both worlds.

You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions.
